Centeno Schultz Clinic Lateral Hip Pain

The Centeno Schultz Clinic in Portland, Oregon offers a wide variety of programs for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of chronic knee and hip disorders. Diagnosis of the various conditions can be difficult as most clinical presentations are inconclusive and variable. Especially challenging is distinguishing pain in the trochanteric area from chronic lumbar pain.

The primary purposes of this brief article are to describe the anatomy and pathophysiology of lateral hip pain and hip dysfunctions. I will begin with a brief description of the biomechanics of the lower limbs and describe the mechanisms of abnormal movement, as well as the symptoms associated with those disorders. Then I will discuss some of the biomechanical issues regarding dysfunctions in the hip and knee areas. In the final paragraph I will briefly summarize the common treatment methods and procedures that have proven effective in the treatment of lumbar and sacral dysfunctions.

The first biomechanical issue concerning lumbar and sacral hip dysfunctions is the rotation of the pelvis. Most patients with lumbar/sacral dysfunctions complain of pain or instability at the front of the pelvis. In contrast, pain is found in the hip on the other side of the pelvis. In the case of dysfunctions at the hip, pain and instability occurs in the front of the pelvis, while in the case of pain in the lower part of the pelvis, the pain and instability occur in the buttocks. Most patients with lumbar/sacral dysfunctions report a feeling of pain in the front of the pelvis, which is often described as similar to a sharp shooting pain.

The Centeno Schultz Clinic has a well-trained chiropractic staff that specializes in treating lumbar and sacral dysfunctions. These professionals are experienced in working with both patients with lumbar and sacral dysfunctions and patients with other conditions. Chiropractors can evaluate patient history and determine which type of condition is causing the pain. As with any condition, it is important for patients with lumbar/sacral dysfunctions to always consult a doctor before beginning any therapy. If a patient with lumbar/sacral dysfunctions is suffering from a current condition such as arthritis, it is important for the physician to determine the cause of the arthritis. prior to prescribing any treatment. A doctor can determine the cause of arthritis and then prescribe a course of treatment that will provide relief to the patient's pain.

Chiropractors are skilled at evaluating patient anatomy, including the soft tissue structures in the pelvis, and determining the diagnosis and treatment plan for patients that are experiencing lumbar or sacral dysfunctions. The chiropractor can perform a thorough physical examination of the pelvis, including checking for fractures and disc degeneration. If the spine shows signs of degeneration, the chiropractor can use manipulation and other mobilization techniques to strengthen the spine to relieve the patient's pain and improve their range of motion.

The chiropractor can also perform a series of exercises, stretches, or stretches and exercises specifically designed to relieve pain caused by lumbar and sacral dysfunctions. In cases where the pain is due to degenerative joint disorders, the chiropractor can teach the patient to perform the stretching or exercises with no additional therapy to relieve the pain.Click here to understand a lot of details visit John Schultz MD
